Recurring cleans that behave like one job
Most cleaning work is the same house at the same hour, week after week. BroomDesk treats that as one recurring job with one price and one crew, and expands it into dated visits you can touch individually. Move a single visit and the series stays put. Pause it and the future visits come back when you resume. Assignments warn you when they overlap and then let you decide. The day can be ordered to cut driving, and the ordered day lands on the cleaner's phone.
Create the job once
Pick the customer, the service and how often. A client cleaned Monday, Wednesday and Friday is one job with one price and one set of instructions, not three separate bookings you keep in sync by hand.
Visits appear on the calendar
The job expands into dated visits ahead of you and keeps filling forward. Assignments carry to the new visits, so you staff a job rather than restaffing every week.
Change one visit or the whole series
Drag a visit to a new time and only that visit moves. Pause the series when a client travels and the future visits come back when you resume. End it when they leave.
Order the day and send it to the phones
Optimize a cleaner's day to cut drive time, keep time locked visits where they are, and push the ordered route to the cleaner app with drive times between stops.
This visit
Drag it, or set a new date, time and length. The series is untouched: next week still runs at the usual hour.
Pause the series
Future visits are canceled and the job stops producing new ones. Resume puts the same visits back and fills the horizon again, carrying the assignees forward.
End the series
The job stops for good and stops making visits. History stays where it is, so the customer's past cleans, invoices and photos are still there.
One row per cleaner, the whole day across
The dispatch view is the one most owners live in. Each member is a row, time runs along the top, and anything nobody owns sits in the unassigned lane until you drag it into a row. Between consecutive stops the board shows the drive, and it flags the legs where the gap is shorter than the drive.
When a drop overlaps something already booked, the board says so and offers to assign anyway. It never quietly refuses and it never quietly allows it.
This overlaps another visit for 1 member
Assign anywayThe calendar
- Week, day, month and list views, colored by team member
- Drag and drop to move a visit or hand it to somebody else
- Status moves unconfirmed, confirmed, in progress, completed, with no-show and lockout recorded rather than deleted
- A visit drawer with the property notes, entry instructions, pets and parking on the day
- Pause, resume and end the series from the same drawer
Dispatch board
- One row per team member, time along the top, the whole day at a glance
- An unassigned lane holding anything nobody owns yet
- Drag between rows to reassign
- Drive time badges between consecutive stops, with a warning when the gap is shorter than the drive
Conflicts and availability
- Overlap detection when you assign or move a visit, naming how many members it clashes for
- An explicit override: the warning is not a wall, it is a decision you make on purpose
- Weekly availability per member, so the scheduler knows who works Saturdays
- Time off requested by the cleaner in their own app and approved by the office
Routes and the cleaner app
- Route optimization per member per day, up to 25 stops, ordering the day to cut driving
- Time locked visits keep their position, so a 9:00 that has to be 9:00 stays there
- The ordered route exports as a Google Maps link chain
- The cleaner app installs to the home screen and reads today's route offline
- Checklist ticks, photos and clock events queue offline and send themselves on reconnect
- Clock in and out captures GPS, and a clock in outside the property radius is flagged rather than blocked
- On my way sends the client a text with the drive time
Route optimization, GPS clock in and photo checklists are on the Pro plan and above.
Enough people that a whiteboard stops working, few enough that you still know every client's dog by name.
Weekly and biweekly clients who move a visit now and then. That is exactly the case a one off booking tool handles badly.
If your team crosses the same town twice before lunch, ordering the day and showing the drives is the money.
If I move one visit, does the whole series move?
No. Moving a visit moves that visit. The series keeps its own pattern, so a client who asked for Thursday this once is back on Wednesday next week without you fixing anything.
Can I double book on purpose?
Yes. When an assignment overlaps another visit, the warning names how many members it clashes for and offers to assign anyway. Some days two jobs really do overlap, and the software does not get a vote.
How far ahead do visits exist?
Far enough to schedule against, and the horizon refills on its own. You do not have to remember to extend a recurring client, and paused series stop producing visits until you resume them.
Is there a cleaner app to download?
There is a cleaner app, and there is nothing to download from an app store. It is an installable web app: the cleaner opens a link, adds it to the home screen, and it works offline for the day's route. There is no native iPhone or Android build.
